According to Florida Highway Patrol, the current Tampa Bay Ray hit a 72-year-old motorcyclist around 5pm Thursday evening in a Dodge SUV and then fled the scene.
The motorcyclist was transported by Charlotte County EMS to Peace River Regional Medical Center for a MedStar helicopter to transport him to Lee Memorial Hospital Trauma Center.
