You can't stop Joe Rogan, you can only try to contain. Too bad all your attempts will fail. FOX Executives disappointingly proved to be just like 90% of sports viewers and had only complaints about the sports announcers who narrate for the sport that they are viewing. An Executive actually used the phrase, “take it down a notch”, to inform the UFC to tell Rogan.
He talked about it on his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’:
“I’ve been doing the UFC for, you know, how long? F**king, who knows? 97?. It’s very rare does anyone say anything. But, once we started going on FOX, the producer actually had to tell me in my ear, the FOX executive was like, ‘Tell him to take it down a notch. Tell him to take it down.’
“When I get excited about something, the way I get excited about it’s natural and I’m pumping it up … but these [expletive] dummy executives — I’m not saying the Fox ones — I’m saying pretty much a huge percentage of the group of people that is in the producer position. A lot of them think that they are creative, they fancy themself to be creative.
“You can’t tell me how to deliver the way I deliver. I’ve been doing it forever, they either like it or they don’t. Most people like it. If you don’t, tough [expletive].
“If it doesn’t sound like your [expletive] baseball guys or your basketball guys, it’s not supposed to. You know? It’s not. It’s not supposed to. It’s a different [expletive] sport and that’s just the way I do it. If I was doing football I probably wouldn’t do it this way.”Here is to hoping Troy Aikman doesn't confess his hidden love for MMA in the near future, when FOX replaces Joe Rogan and breaks the heart of so many bloggers who love the excitement level from their PBP guy.
Also, Travis Houser officially announces that he wants to save all UFC fans from more inaccurate details and replace Curt Menefee as the UFC on FOX host. I have the face for the ladies and the mindset for the men, FOX needs to recognize the hidden sports broadcaster in their family. [Follow me @TravisHouser]
