What is the difference between Eric Gordon and Eric Bledsoe? About 15 points per game and the finalization of a Chris Paul to Los Angeles trade.
Yahoo! Sports NBA reporting guru 'Woj' says that Eric Bledsoe is in the trade for Chris Paul that was submitted to the NBA and David Stern late Sunday night for his approval. ESPN's 'sources' are telling their NBA reporting monk (obedience reasons) Chris Broussard is reporting that Eric Gordon is in the deal. The other parts, other than the two Erics, include Chris Kaman, Al Farouq Aminu & Timberwolves first round pick.
Update: David Stern and his posse must be Tony Montana-ing. The Clippers, according to various internet reports, said the Hornets could have Gordon or the pick. David Stern wanted both for the Hornets. Thus, Chris Paul will be going to the Knicks in February or after the season.
The fact that Chris Paul has admitted he will choose an option in his contract to be with the Clippers for at least two seasons may have made the Clippers easily put Gordon into the deal. A gut shot the Lakers and Knicks, who were at least hoping for a free agency chance at him in 2012. Although, I would not be surprised if David Stern declines this Clippers offer, if the Lakers make one more massive offer.
Somehow Donald Sterling will screw this trade up.
