The NFL pushed to get HGH testing started when opening day begun, but were unable to do so because of opposition from the NFLPA in the coming days of the test. After Goodell made the issue top priority at the opening Thursday game interviews, the NFL was forcing their hand onto the public. Although the players felt some outrage towards Goodell and the NFL for doing so, a compromise must of been reached this week.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN said on ESPN's NFL Countdown Sunday that “marginal” testing of HGH will likely start 5-10 days from now. "Marginal" testing can mean many things. Is it a team by team issue or player by player issue?
All that is known is that HGH testing is getting close to being implemented in the NFL this season.
