Social networks are not a safe place for old sports radio hosts to speak their minds. Tony Bruno, 59, found that out last night during the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies brawl game when the brawl was instigated by Shane Victorino getting plunked by Ramon Ramirez. Tony Bruno took to his Twitter to express his opinion. Let's just say he should of thought before pressing send.
From @TonyBrunoShow
gutless ****** Giants. Bochy is a coward for having having his illegal alien pitcher hit a guy since mighty Frisco boys ...Of course, after hundreds of people retweeted and those racist comments went viral, he went straight to the "delete tweet" button and offered an apology. Ironically the apology was over his Facebook instead of Twitter.
I did remove my post and apologize for my comments regarding illegal aliens. I was angry and on the air and I stand behind my comments that Bruce Bochy is a coward, as are all managers who order pitchers to throw at guys just because their pitchers can't get a guy out.
All of you people resorting to name calling are more classless and vile.So Tony Bruno is sorry for tweeting out his thoughts, but half of his thoughts were right, according to him. He apologized for calling Ramon Ramirez an illegal alien, but states that calling Bruce Bochy and all managers who send out pitcher to plunk hitters are cowards, supposedly his main point, was completely correct. (Umm O.K..) If only Tony Bruno had a reputation of a comedian.

Tony Bruno never made a name for himself as a controversial figure in broadcasting, "shock jock," while working for places like ESPN, Sporting News and FOXSports. Tony Bruno now hosts a show called the Into The Night With Tony Bruno Show on Fox Sports Radio late at night.
It is unknown how the Fox Sports producers of the show will handle this situation for now.
